Mahatma Gandhi - Little People Big Dreams
Mohandas grew up in the Indian city of Porbandar and dreamed of a fairer world from an early age. As a newly qualified lawyer he went to South Africa. There he was thrown out of the first class train compartment - because he wasn't white. He then organized the first peaceful sit-in ever. Back in India, he campaigned for an end to British colonial rule using peaceful methods and was given the honorary name Mahatma – “great soul”.
