He was born Farrokh Bulsara in what is now Tanzania. Freddie, as he was called, learned the piano and impressed in the school choir with his impressive voice. He could sit in front of the radio for hours and listen to music, preferably rock'n'roll. When the family moves to London, the coolest city for a musician, he quickly ends up in a band called “Queen”. And their queen is Freddie Mercury, who causes a sensation with his stage costumes and his singing. The songs he composed such as “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We are the Champions” have been at number 1 in the charts for months.
