Aretha Franklin - Little People Big Dreams
Aretha Franklin grew up in a family of musicians. Her mother played the piano and sang, her father, a preacher, led the gospel choir at his church, in which Aretha and her four siblings sang as children. She was soon discovered by a record company. Whether gospel, jazz, pop or soul: with her songs, which deal with people's everyday lives and the fight for justice, she moved people all over the world. Their biggest hit is called “Respect,” Barack Obama’s favorite song, which became the anthem of the African-American civil rights movement.
