She may not be pretty, but she has style, that's what her fellow students said about Iris when she studied art history in New York. Even as a child, she experienced the fascination of fashion and design in her parents' boutique. She self-confidently embodied this fascination with beauty from an early age. And made it her job. As a journalist, author, model, exhibition organizer and advisor to nine presidents, she brought color, shine and flair to the White House as an interior designer. Style is not a question of age; the now 102-year-old style icon still lives and works according to this motto.
